vvteye
Hi john. in matter in fact i actually played for them many years ago !! wasn't it pennypound park where they played, "those where the day's" as my grandfather would say. ha ! Indeed, There were a couple of seasons when Ray Warren was the manager with my cousin Kyle Holmes as the player coach and they won the Welsh league as well as getting to the semis of the cup beating BarryTown on the way and getting knocked out by that great Welsh side, Kidderminster
Ewen
I havent really followed a team other than England for years. I used to go to every Berwick Rangers match when I was a nipper, these days I dont see the point in following a particular team...after all, apart from having the name of a town, the teams are cosmopolitan in management and player list. The players come from all over the world, as opposed to being local to their club as in the old days...the teams may as well be called A, B, C etc. A 'good' team these days is made or broken by money or lack of it. All IMOLO obviously.
MaveriK
There was a poll before sometime ago, it proved what we all know already and that is very few of the 'big 4' supporters are glory hunters who don't support their local team which is one of the many reasons why English football is in the doldrums as far as the national team goes Please get off your high horse. Guest tim_mac
am a liverpool fan myself, born and raised inbetween anfield and goodison park although i now live inbetween liverpool and southport. half my family supports everton the other half supports liverpool. there was a poll taken last season on the premierleague webiste and the question was something like, after your team what other team would you like to see win. and liverpool where the most popular second choice team. I have supported them for over 40 years (yep, I am an old git) and have seen good and bad times (lots of the latter) but never once has my support wavered! Commendable!! A lot of my mates are Leeds fans but they don't mention it anymore, or go to Elland Road either!! H.
CJ
Commendable!! A lot of my mates are Leeds fans but they don't mention it anymore, or go to Elland Road either!! H. I come back home twice a year and ensure the dates coincide with home games so that I can go to watch them at ER. I am a great believer that once you pick your team (for whatever reason) you stick with them through thick or thin. Somehow, I don't see all of the Man U fans thinking this way.
