bimbo pink.....nice.... not  I drive a supra not a pink micra

neat and black with a crisp sound, easy on the mid-range, suits R&B and more bassey beats

Hi hun, don't underestimate comfort Linda.

I rate Sony MDR-EX71SL, I've had 2 pairs and the sound quality is great, but most of all they are comfortable :)

I had some sennheisers a few years ago for home use, nice clear sound but Sony good too....hmmmm......decisions :)

You haven't mentioned budget but the cheap Sennheiser CX300's punch well above their price would indicate, good bass, block out most of the background noise, well built and comfortable.

Just be careful if you buy on eBay, lots of fakes around.

True. Sony seems to have raised the benchmark of late. I know the laptop USB speakers are superb.

You're gonna have to try both back to back I think. :)

Amazed no-one has mentioned the new noise cancelling bose headphones. Aren't cheap but it cancels background noise and is stunning even when you have no music playing you can use them as electronic ear muffs.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/QuietComfort%C2%AE-Acoustic-Noise-Cancelling%C2%AE-headphones/dp/B000GFDC7C/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1209645481&sr=8-6

Not cheap but they sound the BuSiNeSs. Think there are cheaper models and they are as usual much cheaper from the US.

And yes, as the reviews say, it cancels background noise so well it sounds like you are underwater listening to music with perfect clarity!

At £348.95 (Amazon), I'm not really surprised anyone has mentioned them yet! ;)
