Konrad
We all know about hydrogen driven prototypes (buses in Australia) etc. but seems that it is BMW who first thrown gauntlet officially. With few gas stations already supplying hydrogen we can expect more car producents picking up challenge, what you think? Good, that someone is getting serious about hydrogen, it's high time to stop pumping countries like Saudi Arabia with petro dollars. http://cars.uk.msn.com/Reviews/article.aspx?cp-documentid=1284786

Konrad
And probably from this time they did finish prototyping? I think I've seen some more news about Hydrogen BMW. Anyway, Rome was not built in 1 day http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/7351915.stm http://www.theregister.co.uk/2007/05/11/honda_green_car_actress_promo/

Konrad
Also in news today, world is in fact not flat at all This article was most detailed about BMW 7 hydrogen. If you want me to show you something more actual, but saying exactly the same - here: http://www.bmw.com/com/en/insights/technology/cleanenergy/phase_2/cleanenergy.html Don't get too excited Rob I did search and noone was discussing it. My idea is to start discussion about hydrogen and BMW is only one which is doing some kind of publicity about it and at the same time is recognised around this forum. n boost
The Gov't are always robbing us motorists on carbon footprint boll..ks and personally think if they were given the choice to replace alll petrol/diesel cars for hydrogen they just would not do it. Think about how much billions they make from motorists and specially these new road tax bands based on emissions which are going to screw some people bad. The Gov't would be left begging and that means no dumb projects or expensive wars. They just would not let it happen yet as i believe honda have a jazz which has been running on hydrgen for some time but is still only a prototype. The world we live in today ticks over on the revenue from petrol and these gov'ts dont really care about climate change but more about what tax they can come up with. Personally dont give a $hite about it as it will come when the international gangs (Govt's) decide they have made enough or are running out of fuel and have no choice. At the moment they have a choice and are clearly ignoring hydrogen as they need to think how they will tax us on it first before its advantages. I can not understand naive people who just dont see what the govt's are really up too and are only here to tax us . Idea for gov'ts.......fit or replace existing cars engines with hydro technollogy bits for free if they really care about emissions, so people who can not afford newer cars can still be green and pay little or no taxes to them.
