StuartW
Hi, I have just fitted the twin electric fans, relays and wiring. I have found the software enabling for the fans but cannot figure out the pinouts. When i select the options it comes up with coil 4 which translates to the 22a fuel pump control!! This is allready being used so really lost now! Also would like to make the warning triangle come on as a shift light but struggling with this too. HEEEEEEEEElp Please
Wez
I would recommend getting someone who knows the software to setup for you. If you are insistant on doing it yourself you need to configure a free output, you can find these on the AEM pinout guide and varies depending if auto or 6 speed. Once you have found a free output you can assign it to rad fan and then configure the function to activate and deactivate. NOTE: make sure you use the right type of output. Anyone controlled nitrous through the AEM? Chers Wez Will we see you @ Japfest,sat/Shakespeare,sun?
Fish
Anyone controlled nitrous through the AEM? Hey Stuart, Info taken from Supraforums for you I'm using LS8 (pin 61B) on the AEM, I have it wired with a relay activating the nitrous. So basically when LS8 goes to ground it activates the relay which brings on the nitrous. Then you just set up the nitrous options to get the window effect you want. This is how I had it set up once upon a time. It's set up to come on above 3000rpm when you have over 80% throttle and will shut off once you reach 20psi or 6500 rpm. I think the AEM would be the more capable set-up:search: The other issue is the shift light and how do i make the warning triangle flash up @ a set RPM. I have seen this done before. After a days head scratchin i sorted the Rad fans and now fully understand how to configure pinouts, but struggling to sort shift light Thanks again all... Wez
Once you have your gear ratios configured you set an RPM for each gear and select an output. This is configured in AEM Pro under setup > advanced > shift light

Wez
The dash warning triangle (output LS10) is already used by the AEM
Kev.O
I used Pin 9B and 10B for my fans which are HS3 and HS4, both are switched live.

Wez
Coil 4 output is used for fuel pump control and has nothing to do with LS10 engine light
StuartW
Coil 4 output is used for fuel pump control and has nothing to do with LS10 engine light i would agree according to the wiring/pinout diagrams, but i have just done it and it works spot on! ls10 defo made eng management light on instead. maybe cus mine is a "special" sup/originally lightweight SZR chassis, auto uk dash,tt wiring loom..some would call mongrell i would call "special"
Ryan.G
Finally got it!! Its coil 4, LEAVE COIL 4 ALONE ................ LS10 is the Low side ground to Illuminate the ecu check light. When this Illuminates, the main dash Triangle also does as it is in series. The cat temp light also does the same function as well as most of the other warning lights on the higher dash panel. The way i would do the shift light is wire pin 5A which is the cat temp light to either LS8, LS9 or LS11 which are spare. Then go to Options - Configure outputs Select the output you want from the OUTPUT drop down list and then program when you want that LS to go to ground by setting the parameters in the Basic Activation settings. For the Rad fan you can do it the same as above using another LS to switch the relay or use the Rad Fan setup. Ryan
