16's yes, 17's no

That makes no sense whatsoever :D

surely if he's looking at wheels AND tyres the rolling radius of said combination would always be the same regardless of wheel size? ;)

EDIT: beaten to it by Scotster :D

Didn't know the were wider, also didn't know 275's would go on stock.

Living and learning.

Still think i could manage it with the spare and tools taken out as long as there was no passenger.

Would make no difference imo as the extra width (if any) would be negligible.

I'd take his word over mine however as I've never actually done it :)

You can get a set of 16/17/18/19 inch wheels and tyre's in a supra pretty easy (done all of them in my supe):

Front one in the boot, a rear and a front on each rear seats (one in at an angle) and another rear on the front seat

Just make sure you have plenty of carpet/heavy packing material to protect the body panels, and make sure that wheel on the front seat is strapped in!!

Was it on here I read about an Elise owner with a flat ?

He put the space saver spare on, then found out he had nowhere to put the wheel he'd just taken off except the front seat...which was occupied by his wife.
