bmx1lew
hes done it for 33 years and is very stressfull, Its what ever you make of it, you have to manage staff, usually bar staff are young and young people are very reliable, every thing relies on customer service, bad bar service and customers move on, so you need quick hard working staff, so you need to maintain and keep your staff as a family, my dad works the bar with every one and brings every one togeather as a family, this way people enjoy work more so they are happy and work better, allot of pubs or clubs have the manager watching over them, never helping out, my dad believes you should work with your team, that way people can relate allot better rather then you pulling strings, also working with them he can see every one working. You have to be able to maintain stock know when you need stock, its not a case of orderin in, some months are quiet, busy, pay days and bank holidays, your stock has to be rotated so it doesnt go off so allot of stock managment, alcohol goes adrift very easy, every week we are are about 2 to 6 liters of spirtis down this can be down to clumsy staff, order mess ups any thing. The there is mainting the place, cleaning every thing from the toilets to the beer lines, fridges, any thing and every thing there is more then meets the eye, every thing down to wage, staff hours, what drinks to stock and sell market research so you get what customers want, playing the right music at the right time and day it all has to be managed. then there's customer health and saftey, security, licenses, opening hours, competition, events to put on ect ect ect. Ewen
Your club will need a cool name too. 'Jazz1' maybe, or 'BarRatz' for example.
