I've currently got the shine which i really like, so as long as the new one is a step forward, and not a step back towards the chocolate then i think i'm sold. LG's are really good in my opinion, but the think that let the LG's down in that past was the fact that you could only get them on 3. as long as you didnt want to make a phone call you were laughing!! It's far from cumbersome. have you seen the HTC Vario III? Its a nice peice of kit. It certainly is mate. I've had it for around 6 months now I think and it hasn't missed a beat.
