Well, why not?

because most people with plates like that are younger or rich playboys,. "aunt" just doesnt seem to fit the bracket. like i said, not doubting, just wondering. hey if everyone fits into a certain bracket i guess the world would be a boring place.

Cherished numbers are valued from the perceived reading by the companies that buy and sell reggo number and thus BEG 41T can obviously be read as Beg for it which means big money and 3-5K is cheap for this kind of format.

Just because the present owner is female may just be coincidence and have no relevance to how the number reads! I had a number years ago on my scooter which was 931 UNT and people kept adding the letter 'C' to it which they thought was funny - I didn't as I got 'pulled' one night after not seeing the 'alteration':(

I bought an old Audi which cost me 50 quid with a personalized number and I sold just the number on for over a grand and after commissions still made nearly 900 + and I still sold the car on to a scrap yard for 45 pounds and bits and bobs out of the boot fetched another 10-15!! And that was not a catchy one like this.

Some numbers can go for 1000's if there is enough interest and the number is a good one. If the registration reads as a name etc the value sky rockets and I've seen some with a very tenuous connection still fetch several grand if someone wants it

Last year I saw STT 30 for sale which could naturally stand for Supra Twin Turbo 3 litre and it sold for I think 6k!

I'm following one at the moment - CHU 55Y which could be read as Chubby at it starts at 4k:taped:
