Whitesupraboy2
We were having a discussion at work today and it was along these lines; A girl of 14 yrs of age has a boyfriend of 16 and they have slept together. If found out should the boyfriend be put on the sex offenders list? My view was no, I said the relationship should be ended and controlled by the parents but it is unfair to punish the CHILDREN in that way by ruining their life. Also a 14 yr old girl is about as mature mentally as a 16 yr old boy. What if its the other way round 14yr old boy and 16 yr old girl? Also does anyone know what does happen in this case? or the case of 15 yr old and 17yr old? where does it cross the line of being a relationship between 2 ages that by law is wrong and a relationship that is morally wrong too. Discuss
The Raven
Where do you draw the line. 16 and 13? Its to hard to work if you allow some and dont others. Shoot them all and let god sort them out.
RobSheffield
I strongly suspect this is going to degenerate into a load of posts suggesting we should 'shoot them all' or something LOL, took less time than i expected!

Havard
That's a tough one! When I was in my teens most of the 15 year old girls we being boned by 18 year old lads. I never saw it as a problem then although as a parent of a 13 year old girl now, I don't like to think about it..... I think when they get to around 13 or 14 it is very difficult to control/judge. If they want to have sex then they will. Trying to enforce 16 year old boys to stick to older girls is not realistic either. Personally I don't think the sex offenders register should be even mentioned when it comes to this. I thought the system was designed for dirty paedos and not randy teenagers!! H. michael
Something you want to confess to Whitey? Those young girls can look a lot older in certain lights apparently.
Whitesupraboy2
Something you want to confess to Whitey? Those young girls can look a lot older in certain lights apparently. lol definatly not. But it all came about because I was out for some drinks with some mates at the weekend. And we recognised a girl out who is the sister of a girl who is my age (24). We know this girl is only 16 but the way she was dressed / make up done well, she looked 19 - 20 no problem, it made you realise you just dont know nowadays and when talking to a girl asking for ID is not something that crops up! KimberleyAnn
Well i think if the girl is underage but wants to do it, then the bloke shoudlnt be prosecuted. At the end of the day thats like saying shes 15 and 1 day till her 16th, but she has sex with her boyfreind whos say 17 1 day before her birthday, and he can get put away? I dont see the difference. I think if 2 people decide to have sex, they should be left to it, its not hurting anyone. Its completly different if its against someones will, at ANY age. That's why we have laws for this sort of thing; to make it clear where the line actually is.
SupraStar 3000
I dont tend to watch Trisha (normally at work) but I watched a few minutes today and this old geza had nobbled a 16yr old school girl who was now up the duff. Then again on Neighbours (you can tell I've done bugger all today) some 16yr girl sleeping with a teacher. At no time did anyone say 'pedophile' or mention the law. Is 17 still the legal age? Supra-Brett
Whats even madder is that you can drive, have sex, smoke and get married at 16, but you cant drink alcohol till 18 !!! Surely marriage should only be allowed at 18.
dangerous brain
Ah but can the parents of said minor regardless of minors will actually register the complaint against the older person and have them done for involuntary rape and end up on the sex offenders list for exactly what you are talking about here? marbleapple
Lets be honest..... How many are ever prosecuted? - Only the ones where there is some issue (i.e. parents file charges etc).
