DannoSupra
Whats the strength of the Supra's bottom end; rods and crank I was thinking of just replacing the pistons and rings, new shells and Stud the bottom end if the rest can cope with say, up to 700hp Cheers
tooquicktostop
When building my bottom end with Mark at Phoenix we started with a brand new stock bottom end and uprated the rods (Brian Crower), rod bolts, head studs and engine bolts, we are looking for around 600 BHP with a T67 DBB turbo, perhaps a bit more with the NOS, he felt this was the best possible set up, the pistons could have been changed but he feels the stock ones are more than ok for the job if a little heavy, this was due to the fact that they seat and seal far better than most aftermarket pistons, if I had changed them I would have gone cosworth (JUN)
