Love the shape of the front of the FTO's, and then they got the huge saggy ass end that just ruins it, but that looks nice! I'm 22 also, picked up my TT 2 weeks ago, with 3 yrs NCB with admiral i pay £1500 fully comp. I've found fuel costs pretty good, cost me £72 to fill up from empty and then seems to do about 22 mpg mixed town and motorway

Welcome im not sure about exact running cost on TT but on a NON TT its not much they are relible and require minimum maintenance, i've had mine for about 3 years my second one apart from general routine service and brakes no otehr major costs. With fuel and Road tax on the increase tend to drive it alot less then before

Not wishing to hijack your thread but I'm a bit concerned that 2 of the people who have replied have taken insurance with Admiral.

Admiral's website will allow you to get a quote for an import MkIV Supra, it will allow you to pay the premium for a MKIV Import Supra but if you phone them and double check they will tell you they will NOT cover imported cars.

I got a very cheap quote from them and as I am always sceptical of putting my card details on someone's "it's secure honest" website, decided to call them up. They agreed to match the net price, took my details, took my card details and were about to run the card when I thought I would just quickly check that they knew full well it was an import I was trying to insure....... Even though all the details were right and it said in front of her it was an import, she went and checked with the underwriter for me - lo and behold they couldn't offer me insurance on a non-UK car. I went with Sky in the end.

Please, if you have insurance with Admiral call and ask the question - it may save you all sorts of heartache in the long run - imagine if you'd paid £1500 for a year's insurance only for some git to nick your car and then to find out you actually had no insurance as the car was an import.....

This may have changed in the last 9 months but I have been told by others that they have had the same response when asking the question.

All I know is that it states on my insurance policy/certificate that the car is an import.

I'm not doubting you at all mate. My own policy would have said that had I not checked.

I've just emailed them to confirm as I thought I'd do a quote on their site for my own GZ TT and it came back at less than £400 with just a £250 excess again. I reported the issue with their site giving out cover on imports when they're not covered at the time of my original dealings with them.

If they come back to me to say no they don't I will be taking the case to the ombudsman. If they won't cover imports then there are literally hundreds of cars on the road whose drivers believe they have full and correct insurance when they don't......

Will keep you posted!

Again Phil, apologies for the hijack and welcome to the club from a fellow newbie member!
