Help with differential please!

miles

Recommended Posts

Trying to fit a LSD to my supra which is an sz '95 facelift (no lsd as standard.) I have a new one, complete (outer casing etc..) The old open diff is out, but when we tried fitting the new one the flanges that the half shafts go onto were different (larger diameter by about 4mm, and large threaded holes for the bolts.)

As said in the thread it is off of an n/a. So what needs doing? do the flanges need taking off of the old diff and putting onto the new one?

(Really want to get this done today so that the car can be used tomorrow...Any help will be much appreciated :))

i tried taking the the shafts off of the hub on mine and they were impossible, i tried about 6 ft of extension and tried getting the nut red hot with a blow torch but still no joy. But we shall give them a go on miles's car

We'll just have to use a calibrated tap on the nut with miles special watch makers hammer lol
