starter motor clicking

You want a charger with a "float" facility, which automatically keeps the charge rate matched to the needs of the battery. These are a bit more expensive than a basic charger but worth every penny, IMHO.

I keep my car on float when ever it is off the road for more than a week.

i had the same problem before christmas, the problem is def your starter motor, mine started off just clicking if the battery was slightly low but got worse as time went on regardless of how much charge there was. If you search there are 2 part numbers listed, i ordered them from toyota cost about £20, jacked the supe up and took the starter off, (not the easiest of jobs). Changed the old bits for the new ones and its as good as new now. toyota wanted about £240 4 another starter so very happy. :D
