Ray
http://www.ray786.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/supra.jpg Hey guys as you may know i damaged my soop a while back, i had some time today to jack the car up and have a look behind the wheel to see what damage has been done... I have circled a part that seems to be visually damaged, but what is the name of this part? and do you happen to have one lying around? Also is there any other bits that need to be replaced that you can see? Thanks in advance Ray
RICHARDA
Looks like the UJ part of the lower arm (wishbone) area.
RICHARDA
Don't have a spare unfortunately. Some braided brake hoses would look nice under there though.
Nic
Check the condition of all the bushes whilst you are under there as things are looking a bit worn out on that photo, also check wheel bearings.

bedlam
Ray If that is damaged...have the wishbone replaced as soon as m8..it looks like you have circled the ball joint...and you REALLY dont want that to part . Andy
absz
hi m8 have you compaired the shape of the lowerwish bone against the other side. i think theres meant to be a slight curve on the wishbone as per picture. have you any pics of the car were the impact took place. Scarface GTti
If the balljoint you have circled is damaged or the wishbone itself then you have to buy a complete wishbone. I did this 2-3 weeks ago. They are only available from Toyota and they`re about £300.

Ray
Ohh and this is the pic of the car as it as at the moment, i removed the wing and headlight this weekend to enable me to see what the extent of the damage is... http://www.ray786.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/lovely.jpg
Homer
I think you need to get that to a professional repairer - especially as its going to need the inner wing changing or realigning. With that sort of hit you're going to be best off changing all the suspension and steering components on that side of the car, you never know what else has been fractured in the crash. Might be worth getting in contact with Dude or Lovatt for some advice... It certainly isn't going to be a cheap repair - mine was far less damaged than that and its costing over £3k to put right - not including the wheels! Best of luck sorting it out
absz
thats a lot of work there m8. if you have any fitting experance then your best bet is to remove panels and bits and bobs have it taken to bodyshop for the jig work that is required on the inner wing and poss chassis. once that is done you can start putting it all back together again. if you have no experance then leave well alone and have all the work done by the bodyshop.
