Matt H
You can print screen by pressing the print screen button and it takes and image of the screen. fantastic function which is greatly used. How about record screen? any software that can do that? seems pretty simple to me, and something that so many people would probably benifit from. marc_p
Camtasia does the job but runs very slowly.
michael
Edit: Must read slower... You can get software that records actions on screen to make little movies but I can't recall any of the names right now.

Matt H
so there is quite a few options then. Its just that i've often watched a vid onscreen and thought i'd love to save but there is no options, so recording a recording seems the only way. Oh and before anyone says it............ yes thats something you could relate to porn

Ah, that might be a different kettle of fish altogether - you may just be able to get a browser plugin or a free app to grab embedded videos and save them to a file. Depends on the site hosting them and the format being used most of the time.

A wee bar pops up asking if you want to download the video. And it saves it to your library
