Its not fair...we need the friggin money down South...look at the bleeding house prices here hows any of us sposed to get on the property ladder. Scoboblio
I keep thinking that one day I'll win the lottery.... suppose that means I should start playing it really. You're right though, with the combined congestion charging, council tax and house prices I think we all need a lottery win! Maybe people up north play the lottery more? Hmm, wonder if the're any stats available.....

Green Peace
I was really pissed off...coz I bought a ticket in Derby on Christmas Eve....i didn't bother to check it..I am one of the few that dosn't check tickets immediatley! Then I read in the National paper that someone who bought a ticket on Christmas Eve in Derby ...didn't claim. ....well for a few hours I WAS SO EXCITED.... £5million WOW I could buy all my mates a flat or a house pay debts off and theirs...and maybe have some money left over to buy a Mucielargo lol! ....But guess what........!!!!! It wasn't me lol. Though have to say i did win £740 in a village near Porthcawl in South Wales once...cleared the local Post Office out then left...£500 in cash and £240 in cheque, I wasn't v popular with the OAP's queing for their pensions that day as there was hardly any money left! Ian R
It is fixed IMO, when I was a manager for a large convienience chain we used to get brand new Roll over posters 2 days before a Roll over and the first time it was a double roll over I got a poster from camelot 2 days before SHOCK !!! But scratch cards are the biggest fix as the numbers of packs ran in sequence quite often one pack in the sequence was missing (large winner) which was sent to someone else to drive sales

Interesting post Ian. Also why is it nearly Always a Rollover on a Bank Holiday weekend? What also amazes me is they have all the info on what numbers people have picked, and from what place before they draw the balls on one of those huge machines that seems to have a huge base (why are those machines so big would love to take one of them apart and see whats actually in it!) This may be a myth but I have always found that if I buy a ticket just before the lottery closes I seem to always win something, and infact i was talking to an Asian Gentleman who runs a corner shop who said exactley the same thing that he always buys his tickets at the last few seconds as he seems to win more that way.....Fact Or Fiction? Supragal
Surely it would be totally illegal for it to be fixed? How do they decide who gets it? How does the little random lifty thing pick up the 'fixed' balls? I am scared by Ians post though Seriously- no shit?!
RICHARDA
Two people I know have had big wins here in the sunny south, one won 600k the other 2.3mil. Best I have ever done is £75.

RobSheffield
This may not make much sense, but i once did a mathematical calculation, on the previous 2 years numbers, to decide which ones were most likely to be drawn, and which were least likely to be drawn. i went to the shop and bought a ticket with the most likely numbers on, and also got my mum a 'lucky dip' - imagine my surprise when the lucky dip consisted of the 6 'least likely to be drawn' numbers!!! And my most likely numbers didnt win anything at all!!!
Supragal
that IS odd. Of course it's not just the 6 most numbers most likely to be drawn but the 6 numbers most likely to be drawn together which makes it a whole lot more tricky
Amazing grace
I just need to know how i can pick the 6 right numbers.............PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Regards, Sheena
Green Peace
I just need to know how i can pick the 6 right numbers.............PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Regards, Sheena Do ya think it helps if you pick the SAME Numbers every week?...coz surely you will lower the odds that way...rather than choosing lucky dips coz surely thats doubling the odds....!!!!! Thing is in reality.....its prob far more likely to be hit on the head by a meteorite....but hey a fraction of the money goes to 'some' good causes....and as they say....................... You Have to be in it......to win it
Supragal
I play 1 line each week (only wed if it's a rollover) and 1 LD
