Guest Suprafly
Right, I'm replacing my water pump and timing / aux belt, now I have removed the crank aux pulley and I think it may be knackered. If you hold the pulley wheel in your hand and grip it, then grip the wheel on which the belt goes round, should you be able to turn it? It turns quite freely, is this buggered and do I need a new one? Also are the tt crank pulleys the same as the n/a?
Jake
If you hold the pulley wheel in your hand and grip it, then grip the wheel on which the belt goes round, should you be able to turn it? Huh? "Hold the pulley wheel then hold the wheel the belt goes round"? Isn't that the same part? You're not making yourself very clear mate - not to me anyway. The outer part of the crank pulley should not move independently to the centre part of it - if that's what you're getting at?
Guest Suprafly
Then it's shot because it does move independantly against the outer bit. Do you know if the TT pulley is the same as the n/a?
