Axle
Whats the worst car you ever owned? Mine has to be a Huyndai Accent 1.3 litre. Handling was awful, brakes were pretty poor and overtaking required two weeks notice. Whats yours?
robin
1993, fiesta DL 1.8 NA diesel. 0-60 in 17 seconds, no power steering, terrible bump steering. Horrible clutch that used to smell of burning simply doing a hill start. Only saving grace was that you could floor it everywhere and still get 65mpg+
Al Massey
hyundai coupe 1.5 turbo old shape great 0-60, plenty of overtaking power under 80 just no grunt after cr*p brakes and handling and looked horrible
JamieP
Second car was a Mk1 astra 1.3, heap of crap that i only kept a few weeks and kept going wrong. Had a volvo 340 after that, 1.7L that was a flying machine for a 17yo and rwd, loved that car but never kept it long as with all my cars. Havard
I can't say that any of cars were really that bad. At 17 I had a Fiesta 1.1. I drove it like a loony and knackered the engine and clutch within 6 months. It was battered and I tried to "polish a turd" and make it a chav mobile and failed miserably with my efforts! I had 2 Cavaliers after that and they were great until I crashed them. Probably my worst car was my Vauxhall Vectra SRi that I had as one of my first company cars. Never out of the dealership to the point that the reception staff saw me out and about and said "Hi Mr Havard"....... H.
marcAB10
Mmm.. Probably the rover 200 I used to have, it wasn't that bad really just the usual blown gasket problem.
grahamc
Renault clio 1.2 semi auto gear box The only way I could drive it,was right foot on the accelerator and left foot on the brake... permanently accelerating I only drove it on saturdays and it started to break in 6 months
edd_t
Pug 106. Worse than my Fiat Panda! The Pug was just slow and spongy! yuk.

RedM
The Supra always seemed to have stuff breaking on it but it was fun so I'm going to have to go for an old mk3 Escort 1.3 No go at all and always breaking down due to an electrical fault. Despite being "definitely fixed this time, mate" it managed to break down behind the Brighton Centre during a Conservative Party Conference! Police everywhere, me panicking (I was only 17) and the car refusing to start. A very angry bunch of coppers got it push-started and told me to *cough* go away! I scooted down to the seafront but the bloody thing died again. Cue more Police. They said that if it didn't start in ten seconds they'll have it removed. It started and a female officer stopped traffic to get me out of there. The car was gone within days.
RobSheffield
Many years ago, i had a Fiesta Si, the 1.6 16v one - lovely car, fantastic in most ways. Fast forward 8 years and i need a runabout after i need to give up my company car. went looking locally and find an Escort Ghia 1.6 16v, so im fondly remembering my old Fiesta, and buy it for the princely sum of £200. Brakes, steering, suspension, lights and often engine failed dramatically. Nasty bloody thing!
michael
I tend to find something to like on all my cars, I don't buy them unless there is some reason to do so - however I guess my Legacy Estate was probably the worst of the bunch, very thirsty, basic and the interior was a bit smelly due to the previous owner being a country type / smoker. On the flip side it was amazingly practical, reliable and made me a tidy profit so I can't grumble. I have a 106 diesel at the moment and I hated it on Sunday when I picked it up but it's really growing on me (which is handy because it's only little) - the fuel guage seems reluctant to move from the full mark too which is nice. I am the same, in fact the only car I've REALLLY disliked was a Nissan Micra courtesy car... finally got it up 120leptons... took most of the m3 (26 miles) and a steep downhill though All the cars I've owned lately have been sheds but they all have their charm
Multics
Ford Sierra 92 model, 1.8 turbo diesel with broken turbo. This was my first car, it just wouldn't die. Radiador and water pump broke as well but still, it wouldn't die. Eventually I got a Golf mk2 1.3 petrol which was a little bit better but still crap. probrox
Mine has to be a Huyndai Accent 1.3 litre. Handling was awful, brakes were pretty poor and overtaking required two weeks notice. The missus has got one of these at the moment and I hate it. Can't seem to take a corner over 40mph without it feeling like the tyres are trying to run away from the wheels. Mmm.. Probably the rover 200 I used to have, it wasn't that bad really just the usual blown gasket problem. I had the Rover 200vi 3 years ago. Great acceleration for what it was but I went through 3 head gaskets in 1 1/2 years. The Hyundai's still worse though!
Lbm
I had a 1983 1.0L Metro, in white. I bought it off my mother. It went through 3 engines and the gear change was awful. Oh, and it broke down once or twice. What a sh*t car! But did I learn? Next car- a 1.3L metro
Nic
Definitely my first car; a blue Peugeot 104, it was a 'gift' from my dad, cost him £50, car and 1.4L engine needed 'reuniting'. I was 17 and working as a general lacky in my school holidays at a Rolls/Bentley specialists and spent my spare time fitting the engine and tidying it up. Had loads of fun thrashing the wheels off it, ended up fitting 3 different engines in the thing, as it was easier to swap engines than rip the clutch out when it needed changing. Came to a violent end when I rolled it 4 times, when my best WRC impression went a bit wrong. Me and a mate amazingly walked away with just bruises, the car had bounced off each corner and sort of ended up a bit rounder than it had started. What a beast, 1.4 Litres of raw power

tooquicktostop
My single Supra has been a nightmare to be honest, owes me well over £45,000 and has not worked since July ! My Renault 5 GT Turbo was always going wrong, headgaskets and turbo actuators every month or so I also owned a Nova SR which turned out to be two cars welded together, was sold for £100 scrap
VIL
Pug 106. Worse than my Fiat Panda! The Pug was just slow and spongy! yuk. I can beat that!!! My first car was a Peugeot 104! outatime
This Corvette, it turned out to have a rather dodgy history and went straight back to the previous owner http://img482.imageshack.us/img482/5645/vettefrontwj4.th.jpg
garethr
Astra Mk3 1.7 (non-turbo) diesel. No power steering, incredible understeer, no performance, ridiculous diesel knock, lots of smoke. Although it was dead reliable and would do 55 to the gallon even though you had to drive it with the accelerator welded to the floor in order to get anywhere. Still rattling around South Wales while the new owner saves up to rebuild the knackered V6 in his Jaguar. Which brings me to the second contender...... a V6 Mondeo which ran the bottom end at 80-odd K, in spite of a FSH. Bit of a shock as it had replaced a Cavalier SRi which had done 265,000 miles with minimal problems.

Interesting on the V6 Mondeo, I had an ST24 for almost 2 years and it NEVER went wrong, service and tyres and that was it, great car in my experience, just goes to show it can be the luck of the draw sometimes
ManwithSupra
Standard Paxo VTR - Worst car in the world.... Gearbox went twice Electric windows would not work properly Clutch went 3 times -(twice due to gearbox failing) 2 Head gaskets 1 Drive shaft Air bag light kept illuminaiting randomly 1 Wheel bearing Rad went once Kept blowing headlight lamps
AndrewOW
My single Supra has been a nightmare to be honest, owes me well over £45,000 and has not worked since July ! For me its a Vauxhall Chavette 1976, 1.3l. Head gasket blew after a few hundred miles of ownership, and it cost me more than the car was worth to put it right. It was never right after that. Well, we live and learn.
