mintedm
A temporary measure is to take them out and leave them in lemons. The acid will dissolve the carbon. When I did this it lasted a few weeks. Give it a go, if your car runs better you will know what the problem is cheers mate ill try this tomorrow and change the fuel filter see if this makes a difference
mintedm
right filter changed no difference, can these sensors be cleaned with brake cleaner or is this a bit harsh for them? at this rate the bloody thing is getting put on ebay!!! Dazzi
Not sure about brake cleaner. I've heard of people using carb cleaner though. Is it possible for you to take a vid to try and get an idea? Im wondering if it could be your headgasket. Our mondeo's headgasket was close to blowning last week, the symptoms were the radiator emptied very quickly. Symptoms on a Supe might be a little different.

Dazzi
The subaru sound. Sounds like one of the cylinders isn't firing. Have you checked your plugs are sparking?

mintedm
could this be an airflow sensor? does jspec have this? got the ecu light working - no fault codes just flashes continously when i rev it then let it idle again sounds ok for a few seconds then starts burbling again
mintedm
right problem solved! at last! gave cambers where plugs go another clean out, sensor assy vacuum hose goes onto a plastic bit attached to inlet manifold this has bust off, causing the car to stall if not attached (Anyone got a part no. for this?) was still running bit bad, got it along the road and gave it a good blast , perfect! only problem i have now is the power steering doesnt feel to clever as if not working 100% , would this just be a change of fluid required to solve??
