JustGav
what split where it goes over the the spark plugs and blow in there? surely it should have evaporated by now the cars been sitting off road for a week Between the cam covers, there is a plate which the plugs go through, water once it gets down in that gulley it is notoriously bad for misfiring (speaking from experience twice), causes it to missfire and give it a boxy sound. Doesn't evaporate out, especially in this cold.

Make sure you dry it out completely, you might need to check you haven't ended up with damp HT leads as well. Replace the rotor arm personally.... Dazzi
and these can be taken out and cleaned? A temporary measure is to take them out and leave them in lemons. The acid will dissolve the carbon. When I did this it lasted a few weeks. Give it a go, if your car runs better you will know what the problem is
