csa
Hi guys I've just taken my GT4088 apart and the exhaust side is thrashed. is it possible to change wheel on that turbo (professionally ofcourse)? or would it be easier just to buy a new one? tooquicktostop
They are so cheap I would just get a new one I would also consider another type of turbo as these seem to be on the unreliable side, this is not the first time we have seen this turbo lunch itself
johnny g
What about the 4094R as an alternative?
Alex
What about the 4094R as an alternative? Or just the 4088R you could argue...but the "R" derivitives are very different from the straight 4088. They are smaller framed and water cooled...The R's are better turbo's no doubt, but it depends on whether CSA wants to go that far with things or just bolt on another turbo. Nic
I'd replace with a Garrett T-04Z

csa
What about the 4094R as an alternative? they are also twice the price of the "non-R" think I will get a quote on a rebuild first...but I suspect I might have to change to something else
Jonny5
so what exhaust manifold you using? I bet it's not an XS power manifold is it? cheers Jon
csa
it should be a greddy. but it might be worth an inspection, cus the car has only done a few thousand miles with this turbo (and no antilag) :-(
