edge
So the box is out to do the clutch. So the usual is being changed inc spigot bearing etc. Selector seal is leaking so going to do that. Is a special tool needed to do the rear seal? Back of box/prop end. anything else?

edge
Good job, so what flywheel you using and pressure plate? cheers Jon:) Using stock flywheel as its in really good condition still and i dont want any rattles. Pressure plate came from RPS and is a 6 puck stage 2 with rps cover but looks stock apart from colour and a sticker and just an oem release bearing. edge
i want to learn how to do that so if i do get hold of a 6 speed box i can do it myself My friend done most of it but i just helped and watched under the car but once you see how to do it its very straight forward. The two top bolts that hold the box in are the most frustrating. But alot of it was made easy with air tools.

Paul Whiffin
Gear lever linkage bushes are worth changing, there's 2 pressed into the gear lever cradle, they can wear or break causing a shite gearchange.
ajazyasin
agree with paul. Also have a wee gander at the sprigot bearing and crank seals while you can.

Ok, only I noticed the clutch disk is a sprung one, and I was led to believe you can only use an un-sprung disk with the stock flywheel.. Will do ta. Ok, only I noticed the clutch disk is a sprung one, and I was led to believe you can only use an un-sprung disk with the stock flywheel.. I hope you are wrong but think you may be right as the clutch plate center where it goes on the shaft is thinner than the stock..
edge
Well like paul mentioned the gear shift linkage bushes are about dead so ordered 2 of them and the other one that sits on the top of the cradle which come in 2 halfs. £40 for them little bits. Rps flywheel on its way also thanks to a kind member seeing this.
