d_d Posted April 12, 2008 Share Posted April 12, 2008 Hi i was in the process of replacing my stem seals, well lets just say now ive gotta take my head off, Ive got my main crank pulley off cams, covers etc off and i can get at the stem seals, also got my exhaust off the manifold. Does anyone no the least ammount i have to take off to get it off, Ive had a look at how to, But cant really see many people doing the job. Lee P Posted April 12, 2008 Share Posted April 12, 2008 Get yourself a workshop manual, it will tell you everything you need to know. You need to make sure you undo the head bolts in the correct order and also the bearing caps for the cams all have a specific order and torque setting. You need to make sure you undo the head bolts in the correct order and also the bearing caps for the cams all have a specific order and torque setting. wise words, you need a manual, not being funny mate but if you are struggling allready this may all go pear shaped as the easy bit is dismantling everything, if you dont get it all spot on when re-assembling you will have to take it all apart again when your new head gasket fails or worse you snap a cam shaft, if its just the stem seals you may want to consider the old rope trick/compressed air gag Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
