Soop Dogg
Unless your Landcruiser has been constructed or adapted for the purpose of carrying goods, then I'm pretty sure you don't need one. Also, if the reason for towing the vehicle is completely for private purposes and not in connection with a business (i.e. you're not carrying it for hire or reward, such as delivering it because you're a car dealer or something), then you wouldn't need one anyway. Soonto_HAS_soop
There is something about needing a braked trailer for a load of above 750kg on a trailer, or 85% of the weight of the towing vehicle, but I'm not very clued up on towing laws. We tow our Karts around in a box trailer (4 Karts) and we are at 600kg and can get away with a non braked trailer.
Soop Dogg
With regard to the tachograph question, there's a table on page 3 of this LINK that should help.
Dnk
Thanks for the link, so as long as im only using it privately im ok and as long as my total train weight isnt over 7500kgs.
Class One
When did you pass your driving test? Later licence holders have restrictions placed on their licence re towing. It was covered in a thread here
