flyby
What is the max pressure a set of Uk turbo can doo. It seams like mine only can deliver 1 bar whit a decat.
michael
Max pressure or max pressure before it becomes pointless? 1.5 bar is possible, maybe more, 1.25 is about as high as you should go though, beyond that you just generate heat and no extra power. Double decat? Are you using a boost controller?
Guigsy
mine make 1.2 - 1.3 without a boost controller.

michael
mine make 1.2 - 1.3 without a boost controller. On a UK? That's quite unusual.

Jim_1979
My Jap car has UK turbos. High setting is currently 1.15bar... so can I turn it up a little to 1.2, or 1.3?
Homer
Either you have a wastegate problem or have a boost controller/bleed valve fitted somewhere. The UK (export spec) shouldn't make more than 0.8 bar boost with just a decat.
Homer
My Jap car has UK turbos. High setting is currently 1.15bar... so can I turn it up a little to 1.2, or 1.3? No, leave it where it is to be safe. It still has the jspec ECU and injectors so fueling will be a major concern above 1.15bar
flyby
Iv installe a brand new greddy boost controller, and that is the only thing who has connection to the two actuators
Homer
If you have a boost controller then that would explain the extra boost. It is not a case of what the turbo's can take (UK and jpsec are more or less the same), fuel supply and map is the issue here. UK turbo's on a jspec car will be detrimental to the performance as the ECU isn't mapped for them. Read here: bpu
