Guest WideboyS14
Hi guys & girls. just thought id sign up to this owners club to find out some useful tech info, and spares i currently have a S14a, which i built up from bog standard. in my search for more power, i want to put a 1JZ GTE lump with R154 gearbox. what would be my best source for the engine, a soarer?? Are the gearboxes commonly found in mk3 supras? obviously i'd prefer a VVTi version but are these harder to come by, or more expensive. heres a pic of my motor, but its still got a long way to go. and a bit of drifting @ Lydd appreciate any suggestions or rough indication of prices as my toyota knowledge is a bit limited. miko_supra
nope. only manual boxes were w58's and v160/v161's. Really like your car btw
steb9780
Awesome looking car mate. I love the evil look of the SX headlights. I nearly bought one when I had my Rover Coupe turbo, but I opted to get a gt28r, fmic, and a load of other goodies for my rover. I still love the SX though. Tricky-Ricky
Nice SX, is that Phill Morrison's old bonnet or just a copy?
Chris Wilson
Wouldn't the extra torque of the 3 litre 2JZ-GTE engine be beneficial for drifting?
