How do I change the fan shroud?

You'll have to take the top rad hose off so be prepared for some coolant loss or spillage, or drain some out if you are doing a proper job :)

There are two spring clips on the 3 o clock and 9 o clock positions of the round part of the fan shroud - unclip them and the bottom half of the round section comes off which lets you get the whole shroud out upwards. There are about 7 or so 10mm bolts located in various hard to find areas you have to undo as well :)

I was close enough considering it's been a couple of years since I took it off - stop being a complete clock ;)

:D

Sorry I did mean to add a smiley at the end, I don't know what happened there. ;) ;) ;)

...besides you're a mod, you're supposed to be infallible.

Hmm.

Thanks guys :D

These 7 or 10 bolts.. how the hell am I going to get to them? Do I need to remove the undertray and go at it from beneath?

Mine's facelift so there's a chance those screw holes are totally different. Facelift has the twin electric fans. I can just look at my new fan shroud I suppose, that might help.

Easy job then or not?
