Are they? (Genuine question)

You have to chop the plug off a Walbro to fit it in a Jspec but I don't know if you have to do this when fitting a Walbro in a UK Supra like Dave's.

I was hoping the UK spec and Jspec pumps has the same terminal plugs because I'm putting a UK spec fuel pump in my VVTi soon and I'd prefer to use the stock wiring. It's really no problem though.

If I was Dave I'd definitely replace my UK pump with another UK one.

Jake, the UK cars should fit the Walbro 341 and the Jspec with the Walbro 342, this way the terminals are the right orientation so, no chopping AFAIK. Do you not remember this thread ;) http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=23872&highlight=341

Hi Pete,

Yes I do indeed remember that thread and I realise that the Walbro 341 and 342 pumps have a different orientation to each other in regard to the electrical connector and fuel outlet, but that wasn't what I was asking. As I understand it, the 341 and the 342 use exactly the same electrical connector and it's different to the Toyota connector, so the Toyota one has to be removed. Right so far?

Now, I thought that by fitting a UK spec pump into my J-spec I would be able to use the standard Toyota connector and not have to mess about cutting and soldering wires in order to fit the Walbro type electrcal connector. But then Terminator posted this:

Sorry if I'm not making myself very clear.

Jake, it's two wires dude
:D I know mate. I fitted a Walbro in my old car, piece of cake.

I'm not worried about having to do it and I've bought a UK pump already. I'm just wondering whether I really have to chop the Toyota plug off if I'm using a UK pump. It's no big deal, I was just curious.
