Charlotte
Hmmm I'm not really keen. I'd rather have a cow bag of some sort.

Ewen
No, it was £150,000 or something daft. Swiss made. It was basically a mechanical watch, all the gubbins inside and it used these to flip some digital style numbers. No batteries, no electronics. The little pieces that made the numbers weighed 10 milligrams. I can't find it on the MoS site. Any luck on the watch forums? I think its the Meccanico from De Grisogono. http://www.degrisogono.com/index_f.html Slow site though, unless its just safari.
Konrad
Thanks God my interest in watches is around Aviator and Vostok brands, at least I can afford most of them

TonyP
I don't get it . It's just a watch. However that leatherman thingamajig, that's something I can get excited about.
Thorin
I like that first one. I haven't worn a watch for about 3 years now, since my Fossil Supra watch battery died.
Seb
Conversely I love watches, but neither of those do anything for me.
RedM
Another one for you, Ewen. http://www.memoire1.ch/ When used as a chronograph it can switch back to the correct time yet it uses no electronics, just cogs and stuff. Very clever.
Ric
i once looked at a price for one of the Titanic DNA watches, i think it was about 340k
Ewen
Thanks M. Absolutely fascinating. The style doesnt do much for me, but the complications are mind-boggling.

dangerous brain
I can see where you are coming from with those watches ewen. Straight off the first thing I thought about the first one was that would apeal to an engineer (I mean an actual engineer not someone like me that just calls himself an engineer despite the lack of any degree in engineering, Brunel was an engineer I simply am not lol). I am also loving that swiss/leather/gerberarmy knife. Where would you pick one up and how much? theres a lot of multi tool envy in my line of work. Ewen
I am also loving that swiss/leather/gerberarmy knife. Where would you pick one up and how much? theres a lot of multi tool envy in my line of work. You mean the one I posted ? Leatherman Skeletool CX ? Its around the £80 mark. It has a sister, same basic design but all stainless around £60. The Skeletool functions are limited in comparison to others in the range though DB...I just liked the style. Official site / local dealers http://www.leatherman.co.uk/home/ On line site http://www.leatherman-tools.co.uk/?kw=leatherman&fl=161879&gclid=CNit9qSg6pICFQxOMAod9ym3vw Or if you want a full-on military style bugger, how about this Gerber ? http://www.gerbergear.com/product.php?model=7400
dangerous brain
The gerber hasn't changed much since I bought my first one. They still manage to pinch the skin on the fleshy part below your thumb when they slip off whatever you are gripping with the pliers which they invariably do. I do like the leatherman and it would have to bethe full ish one. Snobbery would never let me have the lesser variant
