Thorin
It's nothing new, the actual unrestricted sections of autobahn are reducing all the time.
johnny g
How long before EU law makes it all restricted?

Alex
For environmental reasons...when the Chancellor (their PM) said that slowing down journey's wouldn't help the environment....
Gazboy
This has been going on for a while, a sensationalist non-story in the Independent last year talked about this in depth but it's basicaly BS despite the unrestricted zones getting smaller every year. I think the German version of their Dep of Trade & Industry said limts would be a very bad commercial idea, which is also why they told the frogs to eff off with their proposed EU wide 120g/km limit. Both would be catastrophic for the Germans.
