merckx Posted April 8, 2008 Share Posted April 8, 2008 Some Hid kits use relays to take the power for the ballasts directly from the battery. In this case only one stock wiring harness that supplied the existing bulbs is used, it doesn't matter if it's the left or right. The other can just be taped up to prevent dirt getting in. In the kits that don't have relays then both stock wiring harnesses that supplied the existing bulbs are used to supply the power to the ballasts.
