general public inability to drive in snow

In England we have snow every year.... so it should be a good assumption that when it does fall then we know that there is not a large amount of grip between tyre and road.

Last night I was held up in a long traffic queue because not one but three separate muppets could not drive in 1cm of snow that covered the road.

One muppet in the barrier, another decided he would drive into the back of another car, and the final one decided she would drive into the back of an HGV.

I even saw two other people skid and loose control but actually managed to avoid hitting things.

tell me about sunday was a nightmare

and im surprised with the amount of off roaders people drive, they still do 2 mph in the middle lane and hold up everyone else

Don't I just know the feeling, I was doing 2mph in the middle lane in the Landy and some loon was tailgating me. :innocent:

Most people seem to fall into 2 catagories.

1) - Don't change for snow - Still hoon around at 100%

2) - Believe it's an ice rink and drive at 2mph....

and then these two groups tend to collide with each other and block the road for everyone else!
