Snooze
Isn't this one of the earlier 911 versions that killed you by propelling you into ditches/trees? That's the feller! The 964 turbo is/was a scary car. It's the 964 shape that I always picture when someone says "911". The 993 (it's successor) was a significant step forward in handling (and is still the best 911 IMO!).
grahamc
Isn't this one of the earlier 911 versions that killed you by propelling you into ditches/trees? Good to know! Sounds fun! Best make sure I have harnesses
RiceRocket
The 993 (it's successor) I don't understand Porsche 911 versions number designation policy, why did they leap from 964 to 993....?

hogmaw
I don't understand Porsche 911 versions number designation policy, why did they leap from 964 to 993....? They are all 911s AFAIC
Scott
Possibly my favouritist Porsche evar. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/a1/Porsche_964_Turbo.jpg Thats the only Porsche i consider good looking tbh. Same style as the one from bad boys. I would have that in a heartbeat. The new ones just look soft. Scott =op

Snooze
I don't understand Porsche 911 versions number designation policy, why did they leap from 964 to 993....? Porsche version numbers are all over the place a bit, but I think the 911 series is maybe based on years? The original 911 was introduced in the mid-60's - maybe 1964 ? The 993 was introduced in 1993, I think and (I guess) the 996 around '96?
Scott
been while since I watched bad boys, but I thought that was the 993? could be wrong on this.... Daston
Bad boys 911 is a limited edition 965 Turbo S baised on the 964 body compleatly stripped of everything. They made a handful of them.

There was never an official 965 IIRC correctly, but people often refer to the 964 Turbo as 965.
