supra_si
Hi ive seen many ppl having the hks ssqv but they are like mega bucks. and i know the copies are pants. does anyone have a greddy one or blitz or sard on their cars? if so do you have a pic and how easy is it to mount
RobSheffield
You could just leave the standard one on? I dont see why you would want a cheap aftermarket one...
miko_supra
I've heard mixed opinions on copies. Some say they leak allot of pressure but others have said they work fine. They are only £20-30 so you may aswell buy one and find out
supra_si
nah im not sold on copies but seen a few vids of cars with greddy s types on . just wondered what ppl had
Nic
The GReddy BOV kit is similar price to the HKS, the Blitz and ARC BOV kits are more expensive. The SARD is probably the cheapest, but not as good as the HKS SSQV IMO.

Chris Wilson
If you just want the noise why not vent the stock one to atmosphere fro a few pence? Or are you set on anodised aluminium, colourful boxes and the excitement of unwrapping something new the postman brings?

AgtX80
how do you make it vent to atmosphere? cant be that good a sound or anything or loads of people would have done it. I never heard you could till i just read this post. Go on you tube, people have recorded all of the different ones on their cars, lots of supra vids too. Out of all of them though, for me id say the HKS ssqv is the nicest sounding
supra_si
there is a massive sound difference between them all . hks is very high pitch. blitz is a woosh and the sard is a very trashy sounding dump imo
RobSheffield
i thought i remember reading a while ago that using the stock bov to vent to atmousphere wasn't safe for some reason? I think thats just on the UK spec with a MAF?
imi
there is a massive sound difference between them all . hks is very high pitch. blitz is a woosh and the sard is a very trashy sounding dump imo So other than the acoustics characteristics of these devices, what functional purpose do they actually serve? From a performance point of view - is one better than the other, if so, why?
supra_si
well apparently the quicken up spool time and reduce lag
AgtX80
I originally heard that you should stick with the one that the manufacturer gave you & that aftermarket ones can make the car perform worse. Since i joined here though, i only hear that it makes no difference, its just the sound.
Guigsy
id like a change from my hks one. but i dont know what they all sound like. i need a video clip
Sean1933
Sard sounds ok, HKS sounds pretty nice (especially with the purple fin), stock BOV vented to atmosphere sounds like the Strongbow advert...and none at all with a single tubby sounds best! Oh and there isnt really much point to them atall, maybe a little on a high boost application of 2bar+. Its all about the sound really.
