mathew
warning** potentially long post** you always seem to read things about youngsters these days getting away with everything and mouthing of to people when confronted and the police not dealing with it etc. etc... well heres a little story about what happend friday night in my street where a few youngsters with attitude problems started making a bit of noise. about 6 months ago a house opposite got converted to 6 flats which then got occupied with youngsters on the dole or whatever. scum i like to call them. the street i live in is a nice quiet and,not posh, but well resepcted with a lot of elderly living here. anyway before long the scum started getting a bit noisey and disruptive. because of this all the neighbours and the police had a sorta meeting to work out a correct course of action for this but nothing seemed to come of it. then friday night around 10.30pm i heard someone scream 'im gona effing kill you!!!' followed by a load of banging and more shouting for about 15mins. it quietend down for about 30mins then it all started again. then i heard a familiar voice shouting at them to shut up and more or less telling them they arent wanted here and that the elderely are suffering also. at this point i got really riled up(im usually very calm) and felt the need to go outside and confront them also. on the way to the fron door my father had decided the same thing. by the time we got outside most of the nieghbour hood must have been there and this meant us outnumbering the scum about 20:6. they started mouthing off to us but their intimidation techniques werent working. then all of a sudden the place was surrounded with police officers,1 riot van and 3 patrol cars and all the scum dragged into them. turned out many had already phoned the police and surprisingly they reacted very efficiently. it felt really good that the neighbourhood had stuck together as it did and didnt let this b***ards get away with it any longer. not much time has passed since then but already theres a more relaxed and quiet atmosphere in the street. not sure if they are still living there as it turned out the dude renting out the place was doing it illegally anyway. at the time it would have been nice to have thrown in a bit of violence but turned out there wasnt any need for it and hopefully the street will turn back to the nice quiet one it was not so long ago. TonyP
Nice one. Well done. It's good to hear about decent people standing up against the scum. Hopefully there won't be a next time but if there is I hope the police don't turn up quite so quickly.

MrRalphMan
One way trips to Iraq with 'I love George Bush' tattooed on their foreheads would be my choice for them..
Swampy442
You make a good point Ralphman, that would keep them in shape. Good job there Matlee, good to see British community spirit is still alive and well. In my area cos the housing is 'affordable' its full of buy to rents, full of Polish, latvians etc, most of them are alright. Its the chavs I hate. Problem is once you beat one up, theres gonna be 10 of them burning your house down....

Rob
Sounds good now, but just wait till you find your cat nailed to the front door because you put your wheelie bin out a day early.
marbleapple
One way trips to Iraq with 'I love George Bush' tattooed on their foreheads would be my choice for them.. Wouldn't that be a waste of tax payers money? Flying them all over to Iraq just for the Americans to shoot them by accident?
Mike_Mac
Wouldn't that be a waste of tax payers money? Flying them all over to Iraq just for the Americans to shoot them by accident? Especially as I'd be quite happy to do it here for free. Plus it adds realism to the moving target range, leading to better combat effectiveness! 'Chavs will fall when hit... Targets to your front... Carry on!'
Luigi_Gool
I read the other day in the local echo a 54 year old man had a chav shouting abuse at him....(As said in the echo) 54 year old approached the youth got right under the peak of his cap and said 'You don't know who i am, and you don't wana play my game' Then pulled a machetti on the chav.........Personally i couldn't stop laughing when i read it
