kev_coupe
Not sure if this is the right section but since its a thread only partially related to supra's, i figured i would post in here. I signed up to this forum a few months ago as i was in the process of selling my civic coupe with the intention of buying a TT supra. Things didnt go exactly to plan and when the opportunity arose to stay honda and own something out of the ordinary I ended up buying this: A 96 spec Honda Integra Type R. I was never a huge fan of the colour but the spec of the car speaks for itself and the now turbo'd b18 engine produces 396bhp at 1.0bar J.E Forged Pistons 9.0 Darton Sleeves Crower Rods Crower Turbo Cams Stage 2 Crower Titanium Retainers Crower Valve Springs Crower Valves Greddy Oil Catch Tank Exedy Twin Plate Paddle Clutch Exedy Flywheel Edelbrock Victor X intake manifold Edelbrock Throttlebody Skunk 2 Adjustable Pulleys Downpipe InlinePro Manifold Compatible 3.0" Downpipe DRAG Piping Kit Exhaust Manifold InlinePro Cast Stainless Steel Fuel Injectors Set of 4 RC Engineering 750cc Saturated Earthing kit AEM Fuel Rail AEM FPR Fuel Pump Walbro 255lph-HP In-Tank Intercooler Precision 750hp - 31.5"x10.3"x3.5" Misc. Never ever found out the proper name as it was always affectionatly reffered to as "monkey s**t brown". after searching the forum i absolutly fell in love with it and this car in particular was a major influence on me. not sure who's it is, but what a gorgeous car! anyway, i decided to go for a full respray in this colour (1a1) and here's the end results! Im hoping you can appreciate the colour on a different car and i hope to meet some of you at JAE again this year. Would be nice to get some pics alongside some supras of the same colour, especially that one up there ^^ It had still to be flattened and polished at this stage and it looks even better now that has been done! Again, i appologise if this is in the wrong section

Bobbeh
I think your motor looks pretty good Not many people would chose MSB but it looks nice on your car.

bmx1lew
wow I love it and its the same colour as my supra! I was going to buy a integra type r instead I was inches away found a grade 4 import 96spec, Then when i was driving home from work i seen a gun metal supra with no spoiler, then I heard the dump valve and was totally blown away by sound especially with the spoilerless sleek look, so when i got home i did a insurance quote which blew my mind again... integra type r ( 1.8 ) £1800 supra (3.0 TT) £996 or 3lrt N/A (£1200 odd)... ended up getting the supra! Love the colour.. bet it goes like stink!.. only one thing that put me off buying one apart from the higher insurance was when my dad asked if i was looking at getting a rover! Suprash
integra type r ( 1.8 ) £1800 supra (3.0 TT) £996 3ltr N/A (£1200 odd) ( Im guessing that TT quote was for a UK version and not a J-spec ?
bmx1lew
no j spec altho in the end it came to £1096 with alloys and brake down cover, some reasons soops are cheap to insure after getting the cheap quote on the supra i looked at skylines, scoobs and evos just to see what the prices were like on them and they were between 2 and 3k, some reason the soop wasnt expensive to isnure, theres a few other members on here who have found that the TT is cheaper then the N/A. kev_coupe
haha!! yeh the car was featured in fastcar a few months ago. I think its due for another few features over the next month or so but they were from when the previous owner still had the car. I had an email from banzai asking if they could photograph it when they come up to crail this month which should be cool! To be honest the car has had a few teething problems since i've had it which have meant i've not really been able to put the boot down and experience the torque steer in all its glory The worst of which was a problem with the wastegate bolts coming loose from the manifold under load. Im also waiting on an HKS twinpower unit to be fitted as theres quite a weak spark on the older hondas. Thanks for all the kind comments about the colour, like i said, i just fell in love with that picture of the supra i posted The car is insured on a mini fleet policy through my work so i dont need to worry about that aspect of it. as for MSB...anyone care to tell me what it actually stands for when its no monkey s**t brown? Yeah thats because a UK TT is cheaper then a N/A, as an N/A is a import. Import N/A's and import TT are all grouped together, just becuase they are imports....
