"Facebook is the root of all evil and all women should be banned"

Otherwise you're suggesting we go over there and teach the 'errors of their ways' ?

Nice bit of conclusion jumping there Pete

What I'm saying is that the Saudi way of honour killings, public beheadings and disgraceful human rights goes relatively uncovered by the media and our polititians, but the humanitarian aspect of the Taliban's regime in Afganistan (their treatment of woman was, and still is, banded about everywhere) was used to raise public support for the invasion.

Ah! :D

Thank Gawd for that. I was racking my brain cell trying to figure it out. There's loads of hits for "IFYWIM" on Google too !

Nice to know I'm not the only muppet to do this.

I'm confused. Are you saying we should be doing something about it or not?

Inside and outside comes from the perspective of the driver and the perspective of the central reservation. Whether its official or not i don't know but the Police do use the terminology when explaining undertaking etc.

Yeah that... :)

Think Nearside and Offside of the car too.

Same goes with overtaking. Think about Daytona, when you undertake you are passing on the inside. The reason for this is you are passing the car at the closest position to the driver therefor his inside. However over here when you undertake you are passing on the outside as you are at the furthest most point from the driver. I have heard some police officers describing it wrong also but most of them describe it correctly.

Confused yet?

Totally! I have never heard anyone call the leftmost lane the outside lane.

Think Nearside and Offside of the car too.
Why? :) Nearside is always the left. When you're leading or mounting a horse it's the side of the horse which is nearest to you.

I think nearside and offside comes from the kerb ;)

Think of a circle for the outside inside explanation. The further you go from the center the more outside you are.

Australia use the same explanation. As already said in the UK inside and outside aren't official terms. I think the US is the opposite from us because the steering wheel is on the other side.

So you lot have totally confused me now, or is it just Scott that has :p

So near side lane of the motorway is the slow lane, and outside is the fast lane, and the near side of your car is the drivers side and offside is the passenger side ?????

So this bloke blew his daughters head off point blank.

thankyou for the posting.....we are now all experts on their way of life and are extremely comfortable with being judgemental about them; given half a chance (them not giving us the amount of oil at the price we want) would love to show them our loving care by implementing western democracy and civilised values into their region.

Recent examples of our good humanitarion work can be found in Afghanistan and Ei-Raq.

Religion dictates shooting daughter in the head ? Why ?

indeed it does :rlol:

Whoever wrote that article really needs to use a spell checker and go back to school and sort out their grammar too.

For an editor the effort is simply appauling. Then again, since their readers are a bunch of misinformed baffoons sponging on twoddle like this, I guess they are simply catering for their audience.

Enjoy.

Eh? I'm confused.

Are you actually saying this guy was within his human rights to take away all of his daughters?

I'm sorry, but if that's their way of thinking regarding human rights, they can take the whole "bring their ways of life over to the UK and force it upon us" and put it where no sun will ever shine.

:yeahthat:

Do the resurrection shuffle.

:rlol: Found that really funny for some reason!

Dunno about you dude, but I took it partly tongue in cheek as they refer to facebook et al as "not-working sites" consistently throughout the article.

Yes this is much more like it and makes very good sense; for all you experts on religion, middle-east; i am not referring to the father murdering his daughter.

best thing about this thread was jake's avatar.......some people should simply stick to discussing that.
