RedM
I've got a few tracks that are listed as one track but are split on the originial cd. This causes Windows media Player, iTunes etc to list that one song as two and then move all the song titles up one leaving me with a few 'untitled' songs at the end of my playlist. If anyone understands what I mean can yu suggest a fix?

RedM
Could you give an example? I think i understand what you are saying but its something i have never seen. Scott =op I can. Currently I have Intelligence and Sacrifice by Alec Empire playing. 11 tracks are listed on the cd cover and you only hear 11 tracks. However, and for reasons unknown, three tracks are split into two (you don't notice and can't skip to that break point) and it causes media players to move all the song titles up. In this instance I have three untitled tracks at the end with track 14 being that last one although the title (New World Order) appears as track 11. Scott
Thats really strange. I've never noticed that before. I'll have a little look and see what i can find out. As above it may be something to do with the automatic listings thing that comes with mediaplayer. Scott =op

Thorin
CD's can have up to 99 tracks, and 99 index points within each track I believe (http://desolationvalley.com/wj/oddcd/index.shtml), I know some media players can have problems with tracks with multiple index points. Is this the original CD you're playing?

Scott =op Those 'no title available' songs are just the rest of the previous song! Media player then shunts the title below into that space so it looks like this; Path Of Destruction The Ride Tear It Out Remix Everything Starts With A F**k Killing Machine Addicted To You Intelligence And Sacrifice Death Favours The Enemy Buried Alive ....And Never Be Found New World Order No Title Available No Title Available No Title Available
RedM
Is this the original CD you're playing? I have the original cd but can't skip to the beginning of those 'half tracks' or index points!
Scott
Ok this is definitely a new one on me. If you open up 'my computer' then right click on the CD-rom with the audio cd in and click 'open', how many tracks are shown in there? If there are 14 as per the play listing then it seems that the CD has been made rather strangely lol. Scott =op
Thorin
I have the original cd but can't skip to the beginning of those 'half tracks' or index points! I'm not surprised VERY few players can, I used to have a very old CD player that could skip between index points in a track and would display "Track 1.1", "Track 1.2" etc. I would have thought media player would still play the original CD ok though. What version is it?

I've just noticed that the sleeve lists them as 1,2,3,4,6,8,9,10,11,12,13 so 5,7 and 14 are just unlisted segues or something. Still annoying that media player still puts the track titles consecutively though. Thorin
I'll have to have a go at some point, I should have an old Dream Theatre CD that has index points I think.... somewhere.
RedM
Just solved it. Wikipedia says that some pressings of the album I used as an example have three tracks that are split into two parts. No reason for this is given. I still can't get the media player listing to match though.
