nigelc
Laptop fell off sofa last night (don't laugh). Despite falling no more than a foot, it has cracked screen and now boots up, you log in then it switches off. Tried running AC only (without battery) and still shuts down after a few minutes. I can boot to Safe mode with networking, but... my desktop can't see the lap to on the wireless network. So, the question... Anyone got some tips on hop I can connect laptop to desktop (peer 2 peer maybe?) to get to all my work? Thanks in advance, nigel
Gamer
Have you tried running some cat5 cable from the laptop to your router ? If you can boot in safe mode but it crashes with normal start up, that would say to me that some drivers are not loading... or a component is faulty. Have you tried to do system restore to a time before you dropped the laptop ? It might not help as I think you have a component of the laptop that is broken but it is worth a shot.
