wilkorangerover
i did have iridium plugs but had to change them as they werent the right ones for bpu, (plus it was missing underload), so i put copper ones in , it cured it for a little while , i think these copper ones have done about 1500 miles

matt k
When you say BPU do you have anything controlling the fuelling as the car could be massively overfuelling, hence killing plugs so quickly.
Wez
What boost are you hitting?
wilkorangerover
hks fcd, walbro fuel pump, just been out tonight and it was sweet, so it must be intermittent
matt k
hks fcd, walbro fuel pump, just been out tonight and it was sweet, so it must be intermittent I would invest in an AFR gauge just to see if ther is a fuelling problem.

Sheefa
I would invest in an AFR gauge just to see if ther is a fuelling problem. Wise idea. Personally, I think all BPU Supes and of course singles should have one. Innovative or AEM.
Homer
As Wez says, what boost are you seeing? What did you gap the plugs to?
mikeyb10supra
As the guys have suggested it could be a number of problems, the heat range which hasn't been mentioned yet could also be worth checkin now you have gone BPU as well as electrical problems as not firing correctly can have the same effect? do you know the part number of the plug? and also when you say the tip are black....do you mean fouled, are they dry and sooty, or wet/sticky and matt colour
