Or it means that someone has removed the top cluster without disconnecting the battery first. It is possible to reset the airbag if this is indeed the case. However I do believe airbag life is only around 10 years(officially)

You can remove top cluster without disconecting battery Gav, just do not put ignition into ON position :) (like I did, when checking new installed radio once :innocent: ).

well the airbag (i think) was working before i happened to revese the battery and that of course caused some damage to the fuses and the ignitor pack.

i will try the kev solution and see how it work.

is there anyway to remove the light itself ?

soo you cant see the airbag is not even there

my other supra has no airbag (aftermarket stearing wheel

and that light dont shine?

not entirely succesful on turning the light off.

when i have it in ignition on and alternate the the wires in AB and TC with the negative on the battery the srs light indeed starts to blink.

it can even stay away for some longer intervalls but always comes back.

anyone done this and got tips? if i keep alternating should the light then be turned off completly? or will i put it on again when i alternate?

Yep, I'v done it successfully twice. First time it took a little longer but it is a trial-and-error kind of thing.

Just set the ignition to ON and have someone sit in the drivers seat looking at the airbag light. then make sure you have the wires placed so they are actually in contact with the contact point in the diagnostic ports. Then alternate the wires directly on the negative pole with about a second in between. Do that 10-15 times. If no luck, change the interval to a bit quicker or slower untill your friend in the seat calls out that the light is gone. If you dont have success within a few minutes, turn of the ignition, wait a bit and turn on again (not that I'm sure this helps anything but I did it a few times, thinking that its kind of like restarting your computer when it behaves irratically)
