Had an e-mail from my daughter saying someone had crashed into her on her way to work this morning...she was ok but the car was a write-off. I rang her only to be told the usual. I didnt find it funny but she was giggling away like a lunatic.

My son rang not long after to tell me the bailiffs had been and taken the telly...action over an unpaid parking fine he had got ages ago. He was adamant, but I wasnt falling for that one.

My wife rang to tell me someone had taken £2k out of our account. It worried me slightly as this was three pm, and she was really upset...but no, it was a joke.

Barstewards the lot of em.

:D

Trained them well then? :p

:)Yup, although they are mere amateurs as yet. I 'stole' my sons Mini once, which worked well. I fooled my daughter into thinking we were sending her to boarding school a few years back...convincing letter and all. My wifes easy, she will believe anything...even when I sat her down once and told her I was gay, not that that takes much of a suspense of belief. She got me back with a 'positive' pregnancy test at the age of 50...not funny as I would have been pretty made up.

I went to work this morning expecting training, only for it to have been called off because it was supposed to be next week. Was fun though, because I drove the supe in (usually I cycle). No gags though. although yesterday both my cars got damaged in some way. supra - scratched, and forester bonnet buckled... Would have been far worse if I had done it myself.

Sounds like Richard Branson pulled quite a good one:

Sir Richard Branson stunned an invited audience of the tech world's glitterati today at the CTIA Wireless Show in Las Vegas during his pre-show speech.

He announced that he is heading a private interest consortium that consists of himself, Bill Gates and the World's richest man, Warren Buffet, and is in "advanced talks" with the US Government to buy the complete US GPS Satellite System.

He stated that he has also put in a bid for the emerging European, Chinese and Russian systems. He said "these systems, owned by differing governments, are a problem waiting to happen". He continued "wars will be centred around the information carried by these satellites, so industry cannot trust the governments with such valuable assets".

When pressed for further comment, Sir Richard replied with "watch this space".
