How many people do you know that have had an orgy in a sex dungeon with people dressed as prisoners and guards? Its hardly a common thing is it? So its safe to say his outlook on life and morality is somewhat different to the majority of the world. Its his morality and sense of judgement thats used to make major decisions in the world of motorsport and to dish out justice to those who have contravened the rules. So a man with an obtuse sense of morality is allowed to change and influence the lives of thousands working in motorsport? Thats what worries me about the whole thing. imi Posted June 3, 2008 Share Posted June 3, 2008 Jean-Marie Balestre was a member of the SS, it didn't stop him functioning well as head of the FIA for years. It's about time people stopped harking back to Nazi activities as soon as the mention gives them some leverage to suit themselves. BMW and Mercedes gave enormous support to the German war movement, of course, now they neither want to be associated with poor old Max because he allegedly likes to be beaten by women supposedly clad in (rather dubious looking) prison garb. As for middle eastern royals not wanting to deal with him, their moral high ground is tenuous to say the very least! I like him, he's clever, witty, humorous and has done a good job, if wants to spend his wages in some dungeon, no worries Simple point really.....if the people he needs to do business with dont want to work with him for whatever reason....then his is putting that FIA in a huge disadvantage and is going to inevitablyy cripple the organisation.
