jaymdee Posted March 30, 2008 Share Posted March 30, 2008 Just a quick thought, as I'm going to Marham in 2 weeks. I had new rear disks and pads fitted last May and new front disks and pads fitted in June. I have done approx 8000 miles on the rears and 6000 on the fronts (mostly motorway and slow moving Bristol traffic). Is it likely I'll need new pads before Marham. JohnnyW Posted March 30, 2008 Share Posted March 30, 2008 I'm not sure if I'm totally correct on that statement I do feel that I use the brake a bit more in the auto around town. In traffic in a manual you use clutch control and correct power you don't need to brake as much whereas in the auto you don't have quite as much control as it'll keep moving in D. Homer Posted March 30, 2008 Share Posted March 30, 2008 I did over 25k miles on a single set of Chris Wilson fast road pads. They still had more than 40% of the pad left when I sold the car.
