heckler
i have the trac removed on my car, and had the Trac butterfly removed aswell. i suppose if your picky, it is a restriction in the air flow...

c8sup
the two pics are from my car, it has standard trac so if i change the two over will it be ok?
T2 MSW
Whats the process for deleting the stock traction control? I have just fitted RLTC and would like to remove the stock TC but unsure of the process. Is it just a matter of getting the butterfly removed and removing the ECU, I thought this had ill effects on the auto changes? And I know I could just press the button!!! Homer
I've seen it mentioned a few times on here that TRAC removal isn't advised for the auto's as it uses it to close the throttle between shifts (i..e smooth the change). It's 2nd hand info so not sure how correct it is.
c8sup
thanks homer, would like to find out for sure as i would like to replace mine with the chrome throttle body
Steve
http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showpost.php?p=88542&postcount=7 This from many moons ago from Matt Harwood, removed butterfly due to RLTC, but it made the changes harsh. Refitted it in the end. I dont suppose it can be good for the autobox with the harsh changes.
