TwinTurboM3
How difficult is it to convert a RHD Supra into a Left Hand Drive? What are the main parts to be replaced? How much would it cost approximately? Kind regards, Mert
dibbleyuk
I cant help you, but I reckon it would cost a small fortune!
bodilx6
Some threads on this subject on supraforums.com. It is VERY difficult to my recollaction. All I have seen reccomend just buying another car. Cheaper as well.
Lebsteif
Not cost worthy to do
TwinTurboM3
There is only one LHD Supra, for 39.000 Euro. RHD is for 26.000 Euro. I dont have many choices here in Istanbul. If i retain RHD, two problems: 1- can we fit a GT47 and a Full Race manifold with the steering rack on the right side? 2- it is difficult over-steer with a RHD car as i got used to LHD
Lebsteif
1- cannot tell you that 2- in the netherlands we use LHD cars as well, i have a RHD car for 2 years now. I'm was used to it the same day. Only the McDrive and parking garages is difficult if you don;t have a co driver with you

I have run mine for a year and a half and must say it only took like 4-5 days to get used to being on the opposite side of the 'tunnel. Biggest issue has been to learn the opposite position of the light and wiper thingeys. Still find my selv wiping when trying to flash someone once in a while. BUT and there is a but... If you drive a lot on B-roads with a single lane in your direction overtaking is a pain in the a**. I drive primarily in the city and on motorways so I dont have that issue but would be very annoyed of I was living in the countryside. Also, when you finaly find a LHD, its usually high milage and and auto. When I was shopping I was 100% set on a 6 spd hard top and that just wasnt available in any way. Very happy with the Jspec also being quite a bit lighter than the export model. You just need to change to glass EU headlights and thats about it. Also cheaper to BPU Don't know about your first question, but there are no apparent differences in the arrangments under the hood LHD compared to RHD. Probably a few due to the seering rack but none that I'm familiar with.
Kopite
1. it will fit, RHD car envy are building has a GT55 2. easy Yep as JP said it will fit, the FULL Race Manifolds are a bit tight from what i remember, same as any fabricated item, might need a tiny bit of fettling to position etc (that's from when Kevin was fitting his to the Envy car)
TwinTurboM3
thank you all for the nice comments. I have modified a E46 M3 RHD, twin turbo, and was not very powerful, 400 whp. the moment i WOT, i had oversteer, and i was not used to oversteer with a RHD Car. Felt weird. Did not feel stable. Anyway, what are the parts needed to convert a RHD into LHD? Thank you all for the comments
Homer
The parts you would need are extensive to say the least, just a few... - interior looms - engine loom - steering rack (Think you'd need to change the locks too) - dashboard and all controls, fixings and panels - centre console - firewall is different, so massive modifiction needed (probably best if you can get a cut out from a LHD car) - pedals - brake master cylinder and all lines - door cards, wiring looms and electrics - and probably a thousand other little bits I cannot see how it'd in any way be cost effective unless you can source a wrecked LHD car to transfer the parts from. TwinTurboM3
Thank you very very much for spending time. oww my God, better stay RHD. I drive Turbocharged BMWs, and can control them with love and passion. But when it comes to RHD, i have problems. I better get used to RHD driving. Or find a wrecked LHD and import the parts you`ve mentioned. Regards MD

j_jza80
Wouldn't importing a LHD soarer from the US give you all the needed parts?
Style
Please send me the details (Price, availability and Pictures) for Toyota Supra RHD to LHD conversion Kit. This thread is 8 years old so I doubt you'll get any info here. Not sure who you're asking for prices as well. There's a build thread on here somewhere documenting a RHD to LHD build. I think the guy was Danish.
