Whitelightning
1p . . . and heres your change Sir Well im glad Im not on a BBS in the USA, apparently its ok to ban a country (France) because they disagree with you so I would stand no chance. I should like to present exhibit A for the defence. "South Park the Movie." Where we are shown that it is better to wage war on Canada than let our childen hear swearing on TV. Any of these stories, be it shocking, disgusting or outrageous are never quite as they seem and few of us get to see first hand what real horror is. I wish we are all able to live the way we want in a comfortable way with no horror and threats. But some of us have to keep it that way for majority. Horrors cannot be allowed to halt these "protecting people" in their tracks. So we train them for horror. We train them to see through dark glasses and feel through thick gloves. Because some events can seer through a person if not protected. Our brains do this protecting thing, its a survival mechanism. Even then, there are things I have seen that continually haunt me from my travels [and I consider myself optimistic and rational]. I think it has been this mechanism and my sense of humour that have assisted me, to not freeze in a situation, to take cover, to command others for their safety and ensure minimal losses. So Im keeping my sense of humour and Im not going to judge others if they react more sensitively than I do to such sick reports.
Amazing grace
WLn i understand that your humour is a safety valve an helps you to make rational decsions and that your comments are a direct reaction to the horror of this story and applaude you for your honesty although when you typed it you must of realised some would take exception to it. We all react differently to things in our lives whatever gets us through is what we have to do so dont worry . These men who instigate these actions are driven by self importance and greed and any life lost or taken for the betterment of another in my mind is wrong, life is precious whether disabled or not taking life in such horrific ways is never going to be right. War happens i know and i am thankful for our troops they are doing a job they are trained to do and they choose to do. Children have no place in war. Bobbeh
Children have no place in war. True, but they are. Im kinda at that stage in life where nothing shocks me anymore. People aiming for the lows in life seem to have reached everyone.
Amazing grace
Bobbeh it is as you say as if man has yet again hit the lows that should not be reached we are just self desructive and there is always going to be cruelty and abuse but it does not make it right??!! Bobbeh
Of course, but you have to accept that it happens and will continue too as people are so desperate to achieve their aims. Im not defending it at all
