MR2 HID Help?

Recommended Posts

It it due to the MR2 only having 1 headlight unlike the Supra which has 2 bulbs (1 dipped, 1 main).I have fitted kits like that before to single light cars (was a swift), that is a hi/lo HID bulb, the big black lump on the back controls bulb angle. When you switch to main beam the bulb is angled up.

Dont remove the metal bulb cover, when fitted if i remember that metal cover will be at the top of the bulb. Its on there for a reason ;)

Black plastic bit looks alright, depends how room u have for it... and the metal bit... id say remove it. might bults had a HUGE plastic cover around the whole buld and after that was just a bare bulb...

im not much help

yeah same as that fella but ours are only main beam on the mr2 one bulb does main & full beam, and you have to strip the entire pop up lamps to get anywhere near the bulbs and trust me there aint much excess space in there!

That chunk at the back will be the part that controls the hi/lo I guess?

As far as I'm aware hi/low HID bulbs move the filament up or down inside the glass bit to change the brightness, the plastic but probably contains some kind of mechanism to do this.

Leave the metal bit on the end :)
