Swampy442
Multi-room? One of those magic eye infra red sender things?
stevie_b
I don't know anything about Sky, but I think your Q needs clarification. Do you want to be able to watch one channel in the conservatory whilst someone else watches a different channel in the living room? If so you'll probably need a dual tuner, but that's just a guess....
juanchan
Would a phone call to sky not clarify things? They could give you the costs involved and everything
G-NEMIE
use an old video recorder scart from sky to the video recorder the RF out to the TV / TVs you can then have an extra channel (6) to either play video / dvd / sky / security cam on all the tv's at the same time or individually choose from the 6 channels on each i have 5 tvs setup running from the RF out of the Video Recorder with one booster and this is a perfect picture i use for playing MTV for parties, Security cam or whatever if you need to change the sky channel from the tv upstairs or conservatory etc you will need a remote remote (infrared eye thing) or get up and change the channel or preselect your veiwing selection and it changes channel itself. cheers

If you don't need different channels, then all you need to do is pipe the signal into your conservatory using a long cable.
KimberleyAnn
In my mums we have multiroom ,its an extra £10a month for the box, then you can watch seperate channels, thats the best way.
MrRalphMan
I heard that the £10 is being dropped this summer.
RiceRocket
Upgrade and you get a Sky+ box and multi-room for an extra tenner a month, don't pay for the new box though, threaten to leave if they say there's a cost!
dannypunto
when im thinking about it i dont mind having the same channel , me and the missus usaly watch telly togethr anywyas, so what do i need then? do i just run a coaxial cable from sky box to the conny? stevie_b
Conny Not heard that one before! But yes, I would think that's all you need. I would think it's the same as if you picked up the TV in the lounge and put it in the conservatory. As long as the signal cable (scart or coaxial) was long enough, you'd be sorted. I'm assuming you don't want to disconnect the TV in the lounge, so you'll just need to split the signal into two: one goes to the lounge TV, the other goes to the conny TV. Not sure about scart, but for coaxial you can get a y-shaped splitter for around a quid.
JustGav
My way... TV Encoder card in the main media system, and then streamed out to multiple clients via IP, but then I'm just an IT geek... The easy way; Use the RF out's and just lay coax round to the room.

Steviekid
I was using a digital sender but the picture was a bit ropey so I ran a coax cable and for the picture but still use the sender to change channels.

vvteye
I've got sky in 5 rooms all conected to two boxes so one covers 3 and the other 2. It's still a pain when the missus andkid are both watching different channels and I want the football on. All connected by coax from rf in/out and all with a magic eye and remote control as they are only £14 each. I put all the coax in during the house rebuild in every room to be safe, now of course I want Sky HD which comes with sky+ and you need two coax leads to the sky box. What a bummmer as it now means I have to run external cables. BTW. How can I get sKy HD without paying the £300 fpr the box/installation?
