I assumed that it would require some high drain in order to get the water heated so quickly. I wonder if that 3 seconds draws the same amount as a 30 second boil. It also costs £60 and will save £30 per year. My kettle cost only £20 and we only boil one-two cups at a time. It's hard to see where the saving will come from. He's the only one who uses the kettle (we're all sophisticated with our coffee maker ), but he fills it to the brim first thing, then boils it each time he wants a cup! Some of that water will be boiled a good 5, 6, 7 times in any given day. I never thought people wasting energy would annoy me, but that one really does!
